What does the PTO do?

The PTO at Wilder does a lot of really fun things. We are responsible for events such as goodies with grandparents, muffins with mom and donuts with dad. We also host free family events during the school year, typically one in the fall/winter and one in the winter/spring. We help with our annual Knowledge-A-Thon (KAT) and the Scholastic book fair. During the parent/teacher conferences, the PTO pays for a catered meal for the teachers and staff.

How do you pay for it all?

During the school year, we usually put on one fundraiser in the fall and the then ask for Knowledge-A-Thon (KAT) pledges in the spring. The Wilder Elementary PTO is a 501c, which means that EVERY PENNY earned goes straight back to the school. Target debit and credit cards donate a portion of every sale to a school designated by its user. We also collect box tops for education, labels for education. Mycokerewards and Milk Moola (Kwik Trip) caps. These programs give us money or points that we use to buy fun things to play with at recess or awesome prizes like the iPad mini we gave away at last year's Knowledge-A-Thon!

How can I help?

There are many ways you can help. You can come to a meeting, volunteer, support the fundraisers, attend events and send in box tops, labels for education, coke tops and Milk Moola caps or use your Target red card when you shop. What you do helps us all build a better school.
